During this time of unprecedented challenges and uncertainty, LIFE invites you to join us as we celebrate the diverse talents of our Island and Beach Elementary community with an inspiring and unique Virtual Talent Show!

How it works:

*All Lummi Island residents, Beach Elementary students/families, or Theatre Camp participants/families are eligible to participate

*Simply record a video of yourself performing your talent, and submit your video to google drive. If you don’t have access to google drive, please contact us via email at lummiislandfoundation@gmail.com, and we will work with you to get the video submitted! Submissions are due no later than July 10th, 2020.

*Submissions will be compiled into one virtual “Talent Show” that will be released on a private YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure by July 13th, 2020.

*Viewers will be able to vote for a favorite entry (See instructions below).

*Random drawing prizes and “Voter’s Choice” prizes will be awarded!

Submission Instructions with Gmail Address:

1) With Gmail address, open Google Drive

2) From Google Drive press “New” (Top left-hand corner on desktop version)

3) Choose “File Upload”

4) Select Video to upload

5) Once uploaded, select your video and click the “more options” button in the top right screen (three dots)

6) Click “share”

7) Add the gmail address: lummiislandfoundation@gmail.com and click “send.”

IF YOU DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO GOOGLE DRIVE, PLEASE EMAIL US AT lummiislandfoundation@gmail.com, AND WE WILL WORK WITH YOU TO GET YOUR VIDEO SUBMITTED.

Requirements for submissions:

*All ages are invited to participate

*Please keep submissions no longer than 5 minutes in length

*Please be mindful that this is an ALL AGES Talent Show. All songs, video clips, art, and submissions must have content that is appropriate for families and children of ALL AGES to enjoy

*Only ONE entry per person

*All talents welcome! Dancing, singing, art, music, fire dancing, miming, baking, lip singing, rapping, and on and on. The sky is the limit! Time to get creative, have a good time, a good laugh, and share your gifts and talents with Island/Beach School friends and family.

*ALL AGES WELCOME TO VOTE. ONE VOTE PER PERSON.

*Voting will last until 4 PM Friday, July 17th, with the voter’s choice winner announced that evening and random entry drawing winners announced the following day.

Prizes:

*Every person who submits a video of their talent will be entered into a drawing to win an incredible LIFE board member sponsored prize. (Prizes will be a mystery, and will be as quirky, fun, and unique as the island itself)

*The Grand Winner of the online anonymous vote will get their choice of the LIFE board member sponsored prizes as well as a “Lummi Island Talent Show Voter’s Choice” certificate of achievement and, of course, bragging rights.

Important Dates:

*July 10th, 2020: Video Submissions due

*July 13th, 2020: Talent show compilation released, anonymous voting begins

*July 17th, 2020:

-Last day to cast a vote

-Voters Choice winner selected live

*July 18th, 2020: Random Drawing winners announced
